E. Marie Getz

She was born E. Marie Kolb in Baltimore, MD on August 1, 1925 to the late John and Anna Hubschman Kolb. She lived in Baltimore until 1979 when she moved to Severn. Mrs. Getz worked in the catalogue department of  Montgomery Ward for 25 years during her working life. She was a member of the Glen Burnie Moose lodge and enjoyed taking bus trips with them. She had a group of friends she would gather with monthly for a meal and an afternoon of playing cards. In earlier times she enjoyed bowling, macramé and ceramics. She enjoyed playing her slot machines and her scratch offs.  Marie would never miss an occasion to gather with family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband Kenneth Getz, son Michael Getz and her brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her son Kenneth Getz of Mt. Airy, daughter Eileen Stowe of Severn, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
