Edgar H. Anderkin

On May 6, 2010, Edgar (Andy) H. Anderkin of Millersville passed away. He was 88. Born in Kentucky, Andy was a 30 yr. resident of Millersville. Beloved husband of 30 years to Barbara A. Anderkin (nee Byrd); Caring father of Edgar H. Anderkin Jr. of Old Mill and Elliot Anderkin of Pasadena and step-father of Karen Meesiri of Glen Burnie and Kim Gummer of Severn; Cherished grandfather of 1 and step-grandfather of 4. He is also survived by many dear brothers and sisters. Andy was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army. He later worked as a supervisor for Maryland Shipbuilding and Dry Dock, until retiring after 42 years of service. He enjoyed cooking and fishing and most especially spending time with his grandchildren.
