Edith G. Brooks “Geri”, 87, Glen Burnie Park “GBP” resident, died peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022, under hospice care at her daughter's home. Geri was born on Friday, November 16, 1934, at home in Baltimore, Maryland to Anton Ullman and Helen (Danner) Ullman. After the death of her father at a young age, Edith left school to go work to help her mother. She later met and married Raymond I. Brooks in 1954 and in 1964 bought the home in GBP, where the family still resides today. Geri and Ray raised the family in GBP, going to St. Bernadette's Catholic Church and were both involved with the kids in the Glen Burnie Park Community. She bred Poodles for some time, and always did some kind of arts, crafts and sewing; even making the Halloween costumes for her kids. She took pride in their home in GBP, her family and especially her garden. She loved to garden and be in the yard; it brought her so much joy. She will be missed by her family.
Geri is preceded by her parents, Anton and Helen (Danner) Ullman; husband, Raymond I. Brooks; son, Mathew B. Brooks, and siblings, Joseph Ullman, Helen Stolarski and Vera Davis. Those left behind to cherish her memories are her children, Dianne "Lyn" Schiller (John) of Glen Burnie, Mark "Chris" Brooks (Teresa) of Glen Burnie, Stephen A. Brooks (Ellie) of Chase, Raymond M. Brooks of Glen Burnie; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
