Edmond Eli Taylor was born December 26, 1923 in West Virginia to the late Charles Benjamin Taylor and Ollie Jane Sexton Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a WW2 Army veteran, a longtime resident of Pasadena, MD and member of Grace Baptist Church. He was known as a jack of all trades and had many careers throughout his life, including; coal mining in West Virginia, working as an electrician, a locksmith, a mechanic, a police officer and an engineer. Mr. Taylor worked as a Stationary Engineer at North Arundel Hospital before moving on to retire from Anne Arundel Community College. In his free time he was an avid reader, enjoyed watching baseball and fixing things.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister Betty Jane Graham of Florida, children Judith Ann Ramey of Pasadena, Anita Jean Hopkins of Glen Burnie, Ginger Elaine Smith of Brooklyn, Nancy (Jayne) Jane Tribett of Pasadena, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Frances Imogene Bradford, son Ronald Lee Taylor, brothers Ernest (Bud) and Gene Taylor, and sisters Ruth Taylor Aliff, and Ruby Taylor Morgan.
Mr. Taylor passed away peacefully, at his home, on December 9, 2018.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018, 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy. S.E. Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Funeral service will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, December 13, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
