Edward F. Dougherty

March 18, 1932 — June 5, 2010

On June 5, 2010, Edward F. Dougherty passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with Parkinsons.  He was 78.  Devoted husband of Gloria (nee Dulany) Dougherty for 50 years; Beloved father of Drue E. Dougherty of Glen Burnie and Barry K. Dougherty and his wife Doris of Glen Burnie; Loving brother of Margie Jester of Baltimore and Leona (Tootie) Thompson of Glen Burnie; Cherished grandfather of Tori, Zac, Charlie and Jacqueline.  He was predeceased by his sister Betty Ferguson and one brother.  Ed served his country as a member of the United States Army.  He worked for AT&T as an installation technician until he retired after 38 years of service.  He was a member of the Yankee-Rebels Drum Corps Alumni.  Ed enjoyed reading and watching westerns and the Military Channel.  Ed also coached soccer when his sons were younger.  He enjoyed going on cruises with his wife and their friends and spending time in Ocean City on vacation with his family.  Most especially, Ed loved spending time with his family, his friends and his grandchildren.
