Edward Charlie Dryden, Sr. was born at the University of Maryland on Friday, May 1, 1970 to Agnes Z. (Arnold) and Sidney Theodore Thompson. Ed graduated from Southern High School in 1988. Ed started working for Foglers Donuts when he was 15 years old. He was known as "Big Eddie Fireworks" but also was a delivery driver for the Bakery. He had a heart of gold and was always giving to his community all year long. It wasn't unusual for him to gather blankets and items for the homeless, once giving over 50 sleeping bags to them. He played Santa, giving toys out to the children at school that he had collected. Even collecting school supplies and having that for the kids at the beginning of the school year. If he ever saw a need, he made sure to do something about it. When he wasn't doing for others, he enjoyed pool time swimming, going to Ocean City and shooting pool. His kind, giving soul will be forever missed.
Ed is survived by his mother, Agnes Z. (Arnold) Thompson; son, Edward (Little Eddie) Charlie Dryden, Jr. (Paige Schulze); sisters, Carol Ann Dryden and Kay Thompson; brothers, Donald Dryden (Valerie), Barry Thompson (Linda), Larry Thompson and David Thompson; dear uncle of a special niece Tammy Jackson (Baby Girl), a special nephew CJ Jackson and other nieces and nephews.
