Edward "Ed" P. Yee

On May 18, 2025, Edward P. (Ed) Yee died peacefully under the care of Anne Arundel Medical Center. The family wish to thank the Anne Arundel ICU Staff for their devotion and care of him.

He entered this world on July 25,1957, to Eddie D. and Jean T. (Wong) Yee, in Wheeling, West Virginia. He graduated from Triadelphia High School in 1975 with honors and then continued his education at WVU, where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Master's Degree in Public Administration in 1987.

He was employed immediately after graduation by National Security Agency (NSA) serving for 38 years. He loved his job and rarely missed a workday.  He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, and West Virginia University.

Ed is preceded by his parents, Eddie and Jean, brothers, Jimmy, Walt, Gilbert, and sister, Linda. He is survived by his siblings, Richard of Seymour, TN, Phillip (Norma) of Rockledge, FL, Mary Poole (Don) of Middleport, OH, Patty Butler (Paul) of Mt. Clare, WV, Alfred of Enon, OH, and Daniel of Santa Monica, CA.

He adored his extended family, nephews, Sean Butler, David Poole, Ryan Butler, Jerald Thomas Edward Yee, his nieces, Erica Poole, Jessica Yee, Ashley Vela and his great nephews, Leo Poole, Max Poole and Phoenix Vela.

He loved reading his newspapers, collecting coins, listening to 70's music, coupon clipping, and viewing ESPN. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Rest in Peace brother.

Family and friends may gather at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, May 27th, from 11am - 12:00pm. Memorial service to follow immediately afterwards. Interment is private.
