Eladio Ramirez Medina was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on June 28, 1919 to the late Teodoro Ramirez and Estabania Medina. Eladio was a dedicated Army Veteran who served in Korea and the Vietnam War. He loved Army life and serving his country. He often said that he felt a great gratitude for the life the Army gave him. He was proud but humble of his military career. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). He has been a resident of Anne Arundel County since 2002. He always had a knack for math, even recently he had the ability to mentally add and multiply with always the right answer. In his free time, Eladio enjoyed watching talk shows, John Wayne and he loved watching baseball with his son-in-law. He had a love for music and he especially loved reciting Tangos (Spanish Poetry) which he was requested to recite at many social and family gatherings. Eladio also enjoyed playing dominoes (a Puerto Rican Pastime) at get togethers with friends and family.
Eladio Ramirez Medina passed away peacefully at home with his family on April 2, 2021. In addition to his parents, his caring wife, Carmen (Rojas) Ramirez and one grandchild preceded Eladio in death. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Eladio Ramirez of Orlando, FL and Loui Ramirez of Glen Burnie, daughters Carmen Flynn of Glen Burnie and Alma Preston of Glen Burnie, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral with Mass of Christian Burial being held at Christ the King Catholic Church at Holy Trinity Parish at 12:00 PM on Monday, April 12, 2021.
