Elizabeth A. Bowers

She was born Elizabeth “Betty” A. Evans in Galax, VA on June 28, 1940 to the late William Robert and Oral Robinson Evans. She was a resident of Linthicum since 1963. During her working life Mrs. Bowers was a Technical Associate for Honeywell, retiring in 1996. She also retired from Sun Trust Bank and Sears.  She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Ferndale where she volunteered in the church nursery. She enjoyed watching TV, she was a collector of knick knacks and an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and country singer Charlie Pride.  In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded by her late husband Hobert E. Bowers, Sr., son Hobert E. Bowers, Jr., daughter Jacquelyn H. Hicks and her sister Lucy Combs.  Left to cherish her memory are daughters Kathryn M. Collison of Linthicum, Lisa G. Kick of Glen Burnie & Patricia Scardino of Diamond Head, MS, brother William Floyd Evans in addition to 13 grandchildren and 16    great-grandchildren.
