June 20, 1938 — October 31, 2014
Ellen Jane Carter, 76, went home to her Lord and Savior on October 31 under the care of Hospice of the Chesapeake. Born June 20, 1938 to the late Kelly P. and Frances D. (Fritts) Foster in Baltimore, Md. Ellen was employed with The State of Maryland at BWI as a buyer. She was active in Glen Burnie Baptist Church on Old Stage Rd, loved to dance, garden, golf and was known for her humorous spirit and the love of laughter. She is preceded by her husband, John F. Carter. She is survived by two sons John D. Carter, his wife, Cassandra of Dunkirk, Timothy G. Carter, Sr., his wife Carol of Crofton; daughter, Rebecca M. Butcher, her husband, Craig of North Carolina; 7 grandchildren.
