Elsie Shirley Trapp

On December 4, 2010, Elsie Shirley Trapp of Linthicum passed away. She was 82.  Devoted wife of the late Kenneth L. Trapp for 63 years; Beloved mother of Peggy Ross and her husband Arnold, Cindy Trapp and Dorie Forte and her husband Frank; Caring sister-in-law of Doris Hendricks. She was predeceased by her brothers Richard Arnold and Bradley Brown.

Shirley worked for the University of Maryland Medical Center as a Clinical Administrator until she retired after 48 years of service.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Linthicum and of the Womens' Club of Linthicum. She was an active member of her church and enjoyed bible study. She belonged to the SPCA and loved all animals, especially her rescue pug Tilly. Shirley loved the theatre and was a supporter of the Hippodrome. A breast cancer survivor herself, she was very active in the Komen Race For A Cure. Shirley and her husband loved to dance and they had actually met on the dance floor at the Glen Burnie Carnival. She will also be remembered for her great sense of humor.
