Elvira "Nonna" Reale, 93, of Severn, died on September 16, 2009 of natural causes. Elvira was born on February 10, 1916 in Schenectady, New York, moved to Italy for many years before moving back to Schenectady, NY in the 1950's where she lived until 1992 when she moved to Severn, MD.
Mrs. Reale worked for 30 years in the Food Service Department of the Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY and following her retirement she work part-time for Ethan Allen Furniture in Schenectady. Elvira was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a generous and caring person who enjoyed helping others and volunteering in her community. She was greatly missed by her many friends and relatives when she moved to MD to be with her family.
Elvira was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Glen Burnie, and previously of St. Anthony's in NY. Elvira was a daily communicant of her beloved parish of St. Anthony's Church in Schenectady and was a tireless worker each year at its Annual Festa. She was also a member of O'Malley Sr. Center, and Volunteered feeding the poor at the Glen Burnie Seventh Day Adventist. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, and gardening. Survivors include her son, Bruno Reale of Severn and daughter in law, Ingrid; brothers, Martin Armando Bianchi of Schenectady, NY and Gino (Delia) Bianchi of Arpino, Italy; grandchildren, Peter Schuster, Michael Reale and Stephen Reale; great-grandchildren, Peter Andrew Schuster, Alexander J. Schuster, Sol Carlson, Adrian G. Reale, Jace Reale, and Marcus Alexander Reale.
Elvira was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tullio Reale; and first son Bruno; sisters, Pierina and Ersilia Bianchi; brother, Benjamino Bianchi and parents, Vincenzo and Agnese (nee Qualieri) Bianchi.
