Elwood P. Cassell

On October 15, 2012, Elwood P. Cassell of Linthicum passed away at the age of 94. Devoted husband of 58 years to Betty Cassell (nee Steely). He was predeceased by his brother Ernest Cassell Jr. and his sister Thelma Mae Yost. He is survived by his loving nephews Robert Collins and Ronald Cassell. Elwood proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He later worked as a branch manager for Standard Wheel & Rim Company until he retired after 25 years of service. Born in Harrisburg, PA, Elwood was a member of the Mason Lodge #756 in Harrisburg, a member of the Harrisburg Council and Knights Templar #11. He enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. He also liked to cook, watch history programs and liked both cats and dogs.
