Mrs. Eva G. Phelps, 79 of Glen Burnie passed away at her home on October 15, 2022. Eva was born on December 28, 1942 in West Virginia to the late Harmon and Balma Young Mullins. During her working life she was employed as an assembler at Westinghouse and Gould Fiber Optics. Eva enjoyed playing bingo, was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan and she enjoyed her hand held poker game. The time she treasured most was that spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James William Phelps and sons David and Jeffrey Phelps. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Susan Frech and her husband Matthew, daughter in law Kerry Benner and her husband Kenny, grandchildren Amber Cooper and her husband Jeff, David Shives and his girlfriend Leah, Kelsie Propst and her husband Nick and Christina Shives and her wife Lindsey. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Brayden, Hannah, Ashlynn and Brynn Cooper, Harper Propst, Dexter Razor and on the way Ayda Shives. Eva will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may visit the Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy., S.E., Glen Burnie, MD 21061 for visitation on Tuesday, October 18 from 11:30-1:30P.M. The funeral services will be held at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 1:30 P.M. Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 7231 Governor Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
