Frances J. Leedy

Born Frances J. Rast on September 26, 1932 in Newberry, SC to Hesse M. & Elizabeth Rast. She lived in Glen Burnie for the past 60 years. A graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, she worked for 30 years at the North County Library. A member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Glen Burnie where she sang in the Chior. Mrs. Leedy also sang with the Annapolis Chorale. She enjoyed attending Operas, and the Baltimore Symphony, often with her friends from the library. She also enjoyed gardening and the company of her cats.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Myron Leedy, Jr., her son Myron Leedy, 3rd and her brother William Rast.  Survivors include her daughters Kathleen C. Martin of Pasadena and Merry E. Hood of Severn as well as adoring grandchildren Tracey Golde, Kelly Martin, Emilie and Aric Hood.  She passed away peacefully at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Alban's Episcopal church, music program, 105 1st Ave. SW Glen Burnie, MD, Attn. music program.
