Francis Frank Nykiel was born June 2, 1917 in Chicago, IL. A printer by trade, Frank worked at Modern Linotypers from 1946-1979. He served with the Army during WW II teaching Morse Code. While serving he met his wife Lucie Cohn and settled in Glen Burnie where he lived for the next 60 years. In his spare time Frank enjoyed Gardening, Bowling and playing cards. In addition to his parents he is preceeded in death by his wife a son Frank Nykiel, Jr. and two brothers. He is survived by his son Ted A. Nykiel of Glen Burnie and his wife Jeannette, daughter Jan A. Scali of Glen Burnie and her husband Peter, Grandchildren Kenneth, Laura and Donald Wieland, Jamie, Anna and Benjamin Nykiel as well as great-grandchildren Jordan and Colby Sanders and Jacob Wieland. He passed away peacefully at Genesis Eldercare in Severna Park following a brief illness.
