Fred Ruth

On November 7, 2009, Frederick “Fred” M. Ruth of Glen Burnie.  Beloved father of Norman and Irving Marriott, Eva Durm, Janet Haley, Rachel Rogers and Kelly Knepshield and the late Edward and Dennis Marriott; Caring brother of Wanda Staton, Bettye Winkler, Edna Mathis and the late Warren Ruth and Betty Taylor. He is predeceased by his wife Eva Ruth and  is survived by his former wife Cheryl Knepshield and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Born on August 31, 1936 in Baltimore, passed away at home surrounded by his family on November 7, 2009. He was 73.  Fred lived in Glen Burnie for 50 years.  He served his country as a member of the United States Army and worked his entire life as a meat cutter and manager with Shoppers Food Warehouse and Basics. He was a member of the Heritage Community Church. Fred enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, doing puzzles, growing his flower garden (and the thickest lawn you can imagine!) and fishing.  Most especially, Fred enjoyed spending time with his family and all his wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
