Gary A. Shaver

Gary A. Shaver passed away on August 14, 2014. Born in Oneonta, New York to the late Warren C. and Carmita S. (Reury) Shaver in 1932. Gary was an educator for the New York Division of Corrections. Mr. Shaver was an active member of the 1st reformed church in Hudson, New York before moving to Maryland 3 years ago where he attended church at the Charlestown Chapel. He was also active in the Empire Football League and the Rotary Club. In his past time, he enjoyed bridge, bingo, baseball and football. Mr. Shaver is survived by his son, Richard G. Shaver of Castleton, NY; daughter, Lou Ann Beecher of Crownsville; sister, Cheryl L. Kanuck of SC; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his grandparents he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Shaver (Collins) and brother, Henry W. Shaver. Mr. Shaver's death will be celebrated privately with his family.
