Genevieve Mary Moreira

Genevieve (Jenny) Mary Moreira of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the age of 89. She was born on Saturday, December 31, 1932, to Genevieve (Jean) and Robert Buckley, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In her younger years, Jenny enjoyed the morning neighborhood bowling league and coffee breaks with her friends. Her favorite things were attending church, writing stories and poems, and playing games like Yahtzee, Shanghia, croquet, and badminton with her children and grandchildren. She shared memories of her time as a cook at St. Conrad's, which was so very important to her. She had a beautiful smile, a contagious laugh, and always had a good time when she was with her family. Jenny's most precious moments were holding her grandchildren and great-grandbabies in her arms.

She is survived by her children, Maria (Robert) Dunlap, Norma Jean (Stephen) Gartside, Antionette (Thomas) McDowell, Antonio (Jamie) Moreira, her sister, Helen Keltz, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and her dear prayer group friends.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY-RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME in Glen Burnie on Friday, June 3rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 4th, 9:30 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church in Linthicum, followed by the interment at Broad Creek Cemetery in Stevensville.
