George Thomas Norfolk, Jr., 79, lifelong Glen Burnie resident, died peacefully with his family by his side on April 2, 2026, under the care of Hospice of the Chesapeake. George was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on November 15, 1946, to George Thomas Norfolk, Sr., and Dorothy Frances (Johnson) Norfolk. He graduated from Southern High School in 1964, then joined the Army to serve our country. After returning from his service, he began working for Northrop Grumman as an assembly worker. When he was not working, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family, especially his brothers.

George is preceded in death by his parents, George Thomas Norfolk, Sr., and Dorothy Frances (Johnson) Norfolk. He is survived by his two brothers; Herbert Norfolk of Glen Burnie, and Richard A. Norfolk of Linthicum.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral service Friday, 11 am, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
