Geraldine L Szymanski

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Geraldine Lorraine Szymanski, a woman of unwavering strength and boundless love, who left us on March 25, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on August 30, 1931, she was a true inspiration to her family and friends, always ready with a listening ear and a warm embrace. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and resilience.

Born Geraldine L. Kubick in Pennsylvania to the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Kachurak) Kubick. Gerry was a resident of Glen Burnie for most of her life. She was a secretary until she retired to care for her grandchildren. A longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she was active with the bereavement committee. Gerry also volunteered her time in the medical staff office at Baltimore Washington Medical Center for over 10 years. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzle books, gardening, watching Wheel of Fortune and other game shows, but the joy of her life was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded by her beloved husband Milton Szymanski and her son-in-law Richard Wenzel. Left to cherish her memory are her children Joseph Szymanski (Deana), Karen Miller (Maynard), Anita Szymanski, Edward Szymanski (Laura), Elaine Wenzel, and Stephen Szymanski. She is also survived by 9 cherished grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Friday, March 28th, 3:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, March 29th 12:00pm at Christ the King Catholic Church.  Interment immediately following, Holy Cross Cemetery.
