Gilbert E. Smith Sr.

Gilbert E. Smith, Sr., 76, a lifelong resident of Glen Burnie, died on Nov. 11, 2010 at home.  Gilbert was born on September 26, 1934 in Baltimore, MD.  He was a Fire Fighter for the Baltimore City Fire Dept. before retiring.  Gilbert served in the Army from 1957- 1959.  He enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors include his dear son, Gilbert E. (Chip) Smith, Jr. of Glen Burnie; and his grandchildren, Ryan and Shelby L. Smith of Glen Burnie.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gloria L. (nee Cannon) Smith and his parents, Rose Mae (nee Cronin) Smith and Charles W. Smith.
