Gladys Doris Purcell

On February 21, 2010, Gladys Doris Purcell of Glen Burnie passed away at Anne Arundel Medical Center.  Born in Tennessee, Gladys lived in Glen Burnie since the 1960's.  Beloved mother of Nancy M. Warren and her husband Robert, John F. Purcell Jr. and Katherine A. Purcell; Loving sister of Ann Hosaflook; Cherished grandmother of 6, great-grandmother of 3 (with one on the way) and step-grandmother of 7.  Gladys was predeceased by her brothers Walter and Chester Jennings and her former husband John Sr.

Gladys was an avid bingo player and bowler.  She also loved photography and was always taking pictures.  She supported the Orioles and the Steelers. Gladys also enjoyed good food, especially crabs.  She liked spending time at the ocean and was proud of her husband's service in the Navy.
