Grace Ellen Rich

Born Grace Ellen Houk in Pennsylvania on October 25, 1934 to the late Carl and Mary Houk. In the 70's and 80's Grace was a licensed babysitter and watched over 20 different children over this time. She would volunteer at the kids elementary school. Mrs. Grace Rich enjoyed bird watching, puzzles, crossword puzzles, knitting, Card games, badminton, baking, cooking and watching soap operas. She would often be found reading the Washington Post. Grace was a former member of both Hughes Methodist Church in Wheaton and Mall Walkers in Frederick. Despite suffering from dementia in the past several years, she remained kind, polite and considerate to all she came in contact with. Grace was a loving wife, devoted mother and caring grandmother.

Mrs. Grace Ellen Rich passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2020 surrounded by the love of her family. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband Ned Rich in 2019. Those left to cherish her memories are her children Deedra "Dee" Danner and husband Phil, Jeffrey Rich and Alan Rich and six grandchildren. Grace touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew her.
