Harvey Wade Cox

Harvey Wade Cox was born on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 1947 in Renton, Washington to the late Clifton Wade and Lillie Mae Coley Cox. He has been a resident of Millersville for over 50 years.  Harvey was employed by the National Security Administration during his working career. He proudly served in the Navy during the Viet Nam conflict.  He enjoyed doing yard work, collecting knives and cooking. His family describes him as a “tinkerer” with a passion for exploring many different hobbies and interests as well as a “giver of light” for the many flashlights and lights he gave to his family.  Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 53 years Makiko “Yumi” Cox, son Brian Wade Cox (Erin) of New Market, MD, daughter Amanda Hughes (Anthony) of Millersville and grandchildren Evan Wade and Morgan E. Cox.  Mr. Cox passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.
