Helen Marie Bode

Born Helen Marie Chappell in Harrisburg, PA to the late Gilbert "Gib" Otis Chappell and Marie Zimmer (nee Wood). She lived in Anne Arundel County since 1973. She retired as an administrative assistant at Northrup Grumman. A member of Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Bode enjoyed Writing Poetry ( she was a published author ) Reading, and she was deeply devoted to her family.
Helen is survived by her children Mark D. Howland of Arnold and John C. Howland of Monument, Colorado and his wife Valerie, a brother Ronald Chappell of Utah, a sister Anne Kilburn of Pennsylvania.  She is also survived loving grandchildren John Zachary Howland and his wife Brittany of Colorado Springs, CO and Rachael A. Howland of Essex. She past away peacefully and Anne Arundel Medical Center on January 20 following a brief illness.
