Mrs. Helen Ann Brandt was born in Briar Hill, PA to the late Mr. Steve and Mrs. Catherine Pastor on January 9, 1940. She graduated from Brownsville Senior High School in 1957. Mrs. Brandt worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Washington D.C. for 3 years after which she worked as a secretary and accounting assistant for Robert W. Thompson Esq. in Baltimore for more than 22 years. In her free time Mrs. Brandt was an active member of the Sun Valley Recreation and Improvement Association in Glen Burnie, MD. She enjoyed bowling, camping, puzzles, playing cards, listening to Elvis, and she loved her Pittsburgh Steelers. She cherished the time she spent with her family.
Mrs. Helen Ann Brandt passed away at Home on November 21, 2018 surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Heinz G. Brandt and her first husband of 18 years Harry A. Chavez, Sr., her sisters Margaret I. Lear and Shirley K. Pastor, her brothers Steven Pastor, John Pastor and Joseph Paster. Mrs. Brandt is survived by her son Harry A. Chavez, Jr. of Glen Burnie, her daughter Barbara Chavez of Glen Burnie, her brother Michael Paster of Pasadena, her grandchildren Melissa A. Chavez of Reisterstown, and Brittany J. Bauer of Severn, her great-grandchildren, Cole, Briana, Cayleigh, Jaelynn and Leah, her step sons Douglas and Wayne Brandt, and her step-grandchildren Douglas, Dalton and Dustin.
The family requests Steelers, Elvis Presley, or lively attire to be worn to services in honor of Mrs. Brandt.
