Helen Marie Buchanan

Helen Marie Buchanan was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 23, 1937 to William E. and Viola (Gohlinghorst) Deaver. Helen worked for Toyota in the warehouse. She enjoyed arts and crafts and painting. Helen was a member of the Ferndale Club, the Pascal Senior Center and the Red Hat Society. She will be missed by many.

Helen is preceded by her parents; her sister, Billie Singleton; her dear husband, David H. Buchanan and her companion, Arthur White. She is survived by her children, Jackie Lee Arnie of Glen Burnie, Julia Ann Strathen (Richard) of Glen Burnie, Joann Marie Barnes (Jeffrey) of Ormond Beach, Florida, Janice Lyn Buchanan (Michael B. Silvestri) of Glen Burnie; sister of Janet Mae McCormick of North Carolina and Marlyn Lee Daniels (Ted) of Arizona; sister-in-law of Philip Buchanan; grandmother of Shannon Blair (Dennis), Nicholos Pleyo (Bethany), Trisha O’Neal (Fred), Megan Weeks (Melissa), Corey Weeks (Caity), Josh Metzger (Gale), Chelsey Wingard (Gabe), David Buchanan, Kolton Buchanan and great grandmother of Austin Pleyo, Alyssa Blair, Aidan Blair, Abby Blair, Nicky Pleyo, Cameron Pleyo, Taylor O’Neal (Zack), Colin O’Neal, Mackenzie Weeks, Maddox Wingard, Parker Buchanan and Carly Buchanan.

Family and friends may gather at the KIRKLEY-RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, 3 – 5 pm & 7 – 9 pm. Funeral service, Monday, 10:30 am from the funeral home. Interment Cedar Hill  Cemetery.
