Helen Virginia Mcdonald

Helen Virginia McDonald was born in Pennsylvania on October 5, 1936 to John Franklin and Helen Etta (Hunter) Quick. Her family moved here to Maryland when she was a baby. Helen married “Bud” at the age of 17 and they just celebrated 67 years together last Saturday, March 20, 2021. She loved her long Sunday drives in the car to nowhere with George. Helen was a great cook and loved sewing, and quilting. Everyone in the family has a quilt that she has made. She will be greatly missed by so many.

Helen leaves behind her loving husband of 67 years, George “Bud” Kenneth McDonald of Jessup, MD; her dear children, Deborah Ann Smith of Baltimore, Kenneth William McDonald of Pennsylvania, Jennifer Gail Fake of Pasadena, Theda Marie O’Brien of Pasadena, and Shirley Dale Jarrell of Jessup; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents and siblings.

Family and friends may call at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Monday, March 29, 2021, 11 am – 1 pm for a visitation. Funeral service to follow immediately at 1 pm. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
