Helen Margaret (Armstrong) Remolde, 90, resident of Columbia, Md, died peacefully at the University of Maryland Hospital, on Saturday, October 7th, surrounded by her family. She was born on Wednesday, September 27, 1933 in Columbia, Pennsylvania, to Edgar and Sara M. (Barch) Armstrong. Helen moved with her family from Pennsylvania to Maryland in 1939. She graduated from Patterson High School in 1951, and then went on to graduate from the Towson Teachers College. Helen married the love of her life, Robert, in 1957, and started their family. Helen loved to read romance and mystery novels and even cook book mysteries. Helen also liked to watch TV; she absolutely loved shows like, Special Victims Unit, NCIS and Chicago Fire, just to name a few. She loved to collect recipes and she had tons of them rewritten on notecards. She also loved to collect antiques, especially dolls; tons and tons of dolls are throughout the house.
Helen is preceded by her parents, Edgar Armdtrong and Sara M. (Barch) Armstrong; her husband of 61 years, Robert Joseph Remolde; her children, Robert Joseph Remolde, II. and Sharyn Lee Remolde. She is survived by her child, Jamie Armstrong Remolde of Columbia; her sister, Sara Jane Gentiluomo-Long of Baltimore and an aunt to several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY-RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, October 17th, 10am - 11am. Funeral service to follow immediately, 11am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society. https://donate.cancer.org/
