Herbert Richard Elliott

Herbert R. Elliott, 77, of Glen Burnie, passed peacefully at his home on September 23, 2009.  Herbert was born on December 25, 1931 in Knoxville, TN to his parents, the late Martha (nee Humphrey) and James A. Elliott. He was a career military man, serving in the the US Army from 1950-1970.  He later worked for JBA Chevrolet in the Service Dept.
Herbert was a resident of Glen Burnie since 1970. He was a member of the VFW Post 276, the American Legion, Ferndale Clube and Wanda's Group.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, vegetable gardening, going out, traveling, and his spending time with his family. Herbert is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte E. (nee Stevens) Elliott of Glen Burnie; loving daughters, Loretta M. Anderson of Hanover and Wanda Manning of Glen Burnie; dear sister Hazel Dunaway of TN; grandchildren, Derek, Dawn, Christine and Melissa; and 5 great-grandchildren.
