James "Little Bit" Howard Sears

James "Little Bit" Sears was born in Annapolis, Maryland on Monday, December 2, 1929 to Howard Palmer and Lillian Elizabeth (Purdy) Sears. Little Bit served as a board member and Senior Elder of The Lighthouse Church for over 20 years. He served the church and community selflessly and was a friend to everyone he met. He was a Ravens and Orioles fan and had a love for wrestling; watching it every Monday and Friday nights. Little Bit played softball, trained horses and boxed, in his younger years. He was a unique, one of a kind man who loved God first and truly loved his wife, Margaret with all his heart. He will be greatly missed by so many that have been touched by his presence.

Little Bit is preceded by his parents, Howard Palmer Sears and Lillian Elizabeth (Purdy) Sears and his two sons, Jack and Kenny Parsons. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann (Wright) Sears; children, Howard James Sears (Cathy) of Kent Island, Teresa Riley (John) of Annapolis, and Joseph Daniel Sears (Pamela) of Cape Coral, FL; siblings, Clarence Edward Sears (Lillian) of Baltimore, Lillian Moschel of Pasadena and Barbara Grierson of Glen Burnie; brother-in-law John (Belinda) Wright of Texas, Eddie (Fran) Wright of Florida and sister-in-law Alice Wright of Florida, 8 grandchildren: Andres, Madison, Landon Sears, Jodie  Meyer, Tara Lucking, Michael, Kayla, and Brandon Sears; and 5 great grandchildren: Hunter and Madison Meyer, Olivia, Emma, and Lily Luecking.

Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, 1-3pm and 5-7pm and Homegoing the Celebration on Monday at 10am from the funeral home. Interment immediately following at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
