James Robert Bland

James Robert (Jack) Bland passed away in Port Charlotte, Florida, where he resided for the past six years.  Born in Fort Barnwell, North Carolina, Jack previously resided in Millersville for 36 years.  Jack was a Millwright for Union 1548. He was a Mason and belonged to the Shriner Boumi Temple. Jack enjoyed gardening and carpentry.

Beloved husband of 54 1/2 years to Evelyn Bland (nee Perkins); Devoted father of Vicki George of Port Charlotte, Florida, and James Scott Bland of Millersville; Loving brother of Iris Richardson of Vanceboro, NC, Myrtle Adams of New Bern, NC, Irene Brinkley of Greenville, NC and Henry Bland of Vanceboro, NC; Cherished grandfather of 5, step-grandfather of 2, great-grandfather of 14; Caring uncle of many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents Joe and Janie Bland and his siblings Geneva Gilbert and Ralph, Norman and Joe Jr.
