James M. Martz Jr.

On August 18, 2011, James M. Martz Jr. of Odenton passed away peacefully at the age of 91. He is survived by his son, James M. Martz III of Odenton, four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. James worked as a manager for Safeway and retired after 24 years of service. He then worked in construction doing home improvements and loved it. Having proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during WWII, he was also a member of the American Legion in Florida. James enjoyed wrestling and ballroom dancing. He was a "snow bird" and for twenty five years he divided his time between Maryland and Florida.
