James R. Moore, Jr.

James Reginald Moore, Jr. was born June 5, 1941 to the late James Reginald Moore, Sr. and Naomi Moore. Mr. Moore resided in Brooklyn Park, MD, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for the Anne Arundel County Police Department where he proudly served for 27 years, wearing many hats to include being a homicide detective, working undercover in narcotics and eventually retiring as a Sergeant working in internal affairs. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, playing poker and spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are wife of 46 years Jennifer Hope Moore, children Shannon Kooser and husband Cliff, Beth Williams, Natalie Thibeault and husband Mike, Chrissy Ferran and husband Carlos, siblings Terry Moore, Reita Short, Alan Moore, and Susan Schoenfelder. He is also survived by 13 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 5 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Moore passed away March 26, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018, 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy. S. Glen Burnie, MD 21061, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 1pm. Interment will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
