James Jessie Price, Jr., 63, Glen Burnie resident, died peacefully surrounded by his family, under hospice care. James was born on Thursday, September 7, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, to James Jessie and Betty Lee (Phillips) Price, Sr. James graduated from Overlea High School in 1979 and then joined the workforce. He had a great childhood being surrounded by friends and their families that treated him like family, playing sports and running the neighborhood. He still has those friends today. James had several jobs over the years, and helping with setting up parties and moving furniture at the Elks Club in Severn was his latest job. Many people knew him as a Mr. Fix-It. From friends, family and even to kids in the neighborhood, it was Mr. Jim to the rescue. He was always keeping himself busy in the shed, in the driveway and blaring his music, Lynyrd Skynyrd, in the big shed, his man cave. He loved working on cars and going to the dirt track. He also enjoyed handicapping Horse Racing and going to the casino, where he often walked around finding money, something to bring home. He enjoyed steamed crabs, pineapple dressing, peanut butter icing, a steak well-done and he was always found with a drink in his hand, Pepsi, Gatorade, soda or an iced tea. He loved his friends and his family, and he will be missed by many.
James is preceded by his parents, James Jessie Price, Sr. and Betty Lee (Phillips) Price; and his 3 brothers, Ernest "Skip" Eugene Peacock, David Anthony Peacock and Michael Allen Peacock. He is survived by his lifelong partner, Denise Marie Milcarek and their son, Matthew Jordan Price.
