Janet Brock

Janet Brock, 85, a resident of Anne Arundel County, passed away on November 15, 2015.  She was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 5, 1930 to the late William Edward and Helen Jane (nee Wynkoop) Gabel.  Janet was a member of Granite Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was involved with the Choir.  She enjoyed volunteering with the kids school and helping with Brownies as well as Cub Scouts.  She loved cooking breakfast for everyone and then would sit at the table and read her bible.  Janet is survived by her son, Timothy W. Brock of Glen Burnie; daughters, Cindy L. Plouse of Pennsylvania, Theresa Gonzales of Glen Burnie; brother, William Gabel of Ohio; sisters, Kathleen Chaplin of Massachusetts, Geri Nardi of California; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maclyn Brock; son, Steven M. Brock and sister, Mary Ellen Gabel.  Friends and family may call at the family owned, Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, P.A. on Saturday, November 21st from 3-6 P.M. Funeral Service to be held on Saturday at 6pm.  Interment in Arlington National Cemetery will be at a later date to be determined.
