Janice Mae Kirkley

Janice Mae Kirkley was born January 6, 1949 to the late James S. and Helen M. Kirkley (nee Smith) and lived in Glen Burnie for most of her life. She moved to Frederick in 2004. Janice was an active member of Glen Burnie United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. During her working life she worked as a secretary for the Kuethe Insurance Company as well as in retail sales. A 1966 graduate of Glen Burnie High School where she was active in Future Homemakers of America. Janice also enjoyed reading, puzzles, music of the sixties as well as being a trivia buff. She struggled with Lupus for over 40 years. Janice is survived by her sister Joyce Hornberger and her husband Richard of McConnellsburg, PA and brother James F. Kirkley and his wife Mary of Durham, NC as well as nephews Adam, Andrew and Luke Kirkley. She passed away peacefully at the Citizens Care and Rehab. Center in Frederick on January 26, 2018
