Jerome J. Vacek, Sr.

Jerome J. Vacek, Sr. was born in Severn, MD on July 25, 1924 to the late James and Anna Vacek (nee Brush) and lived in Northern Anne Arundel County his entire life. He served faithfully in the Army during WWII. After his service time Mr. Vacek worked as a  heavy equipment mechanic for Mohawk Co. A lifetime member of American Legion Post #276 and a member of Glen Burnie United Meth. Ch.. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, working on cars, projects around his home and he treasured time spent with his family and caring for his dogs. In addition to his parents, Jerome is preceded in death by his wife Anna May Vacek (nee Hannah), sons Richard and Stephen Vacek and seven of his eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children Jerry Vacek, Jr. of Glen Burnie, Jeffrey Vacek of Pasadena and Diana Lippert of Severn as well as his sister Dorothy Downing of Glen Burnie, MD. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 34 grandchildren. He passed away peacefully at the Genesis Waugh Chapel Center after being in declining health for some time.
