Born Joan E. Hedges in Colorado on May 27, 1930 to the late Harry Hedges and Ruth Wallace (nee Hyatt) she was a resident of the Glen Burnie area for over 50 Years. A homemaker, she had also worked for the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn for 20 years. A member of Faith Baptist Church and NARFE. Joan did volunteer work, was an avid reader, a doll collector, an award winning baker and she enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband Ed. In addition to her parents and four brothers and sisters she is preceeded in death by her prior husband James B. Tucker, Sr. She is survived by her husband Edward Carl Bauer, Jr. of Glen Burnie, daughters Wanda Billings of Hanover, MD, Joan DeSalvo of Colorado, Carol Burr of Oregon, Sons James B. Tucker, Jr. of Catonsville and Ted Tucker of Colorado. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Seay of Alaska and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great -grandchildren nieces and nephews. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family following an extended illness
