John Nelson Coffey, 51, resident of Odenton, died August 8, 2015. John was born September 23, 1963 to the late Cecil L. and Jo Ann (Davis) Coffey in Laurel, Md. He was a real sports fanatic and a true Redskins fan. He would watch the Terps, O's; loved taking the kids to Cap games and "Popi" would even assist in T-ball. John was hard working, loving and generous. He was an avid reader, had a love for trivia and self proclaimed 'He was a plethora of useless information'. John is survived by his children, Samantha Nicole Coffey of Glen Burnie and Kevin Michael Coffey of Glen Burnie; partner, Laura Leigh Poulin of Odenton; step-children, Shanon Sadaka and her husband Paul of Odenton and Charleigh Poulin of Odenton; sister, Cynthia Susan Durbin and her husband Glenn of Centerville; nephew, Jesse Durbin; niece, Jenna Durbin; former wife, Kimberly Gustafson of Glen Burnie; grandchildren, Olivia, Isaac, Trinity, Isabel and his "furry son" Samson. Family and Friends may gather at Nichols Bethel United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 11-11:30 am. Memorial Service to be held immediately following the service. Interment private.
