John "Jack" Edward Shaw

Mr. John Edward Shaw was born in Lonaconing on November 19, 1932 to the late Leroy E. and Bessie (Zais) Shaw. After graduating from Glen Burnie High School, John proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force. He married the love of his life, Ellen in December of 1953. John enjoyed history, carnivals, dining out, crabbing, driving, trains and planes. He treasured the time with his family. He was active to the end.

Mr. John Edward Shaw passed away peacefully at Stella Maris on January 13, 2021. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years Ellen Jane Shaw and his brother Don Shaw. Those left to cherish his memory are his son Mark E. Shaw of Florida and wife Linda, daughters Tam Granato of Laurel and husband Frank and Monica Good of Pasadena and husband Mark, brother Ralph Shaw of Glen Burnie, nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and two on the way.

Friends may call on the family from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Tuesday, January 19 at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy SE, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.  Due to COVID restrictions the family will have a private funeral service.
