On Monday, November 6, 2023, John Albert Jelcic, Jr., 83, passed peacefully in his Glen Burnie home, surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. John was born on Thursday, October 17, 1940, in New York City, New York, to John Albert and Agnes (Yurasec) Jelcic, Sr. After graduating high school, John went on to a trade school. He retired from Westinghouse as a Radar Technician. John and his family were members of Christ the King Catholic Church and have been since the 1970’s. He also loved working with electronics, taking them apart and putting them back together. He collected coins and stamps, loved to do wood carvings, bowled on a team in his earlier years and always enjoyed camping with the family. He will be missed by so many.
John is preceded by his parents, John and Agnes; and his siblings, Charlie and Lucy. He is survived by his wife of several years, Doris Cecelia (Pirtle) Jelcic of Glen Burnie; and his son, Bryan John Jelcic of Glen Burnie.
Family and friends may visit at the KIRKLEY RUDDICK FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, Friday, 11am, Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
