John Magnus Johansen

John Magnus Johansen was born August 22, 1933 in London, England to the late Magnus and Annie Johansen. Mr. Johansen proudly served in the Marine Corps in the Korean war. He was a former resident of Pasadena but had resided in Denton for the last 40 years. Before retiring he was an Iron Worker for Union Local 16. He was a hardworking man and in his free time, he enjoyed tractors, wood working, farming and working outdoors.

He is survived by children Steven Johansen and his wife Kathy of Westminster, Colleen Johansen-Fuchs of Severna Park, John Magnus Johansen, Jr. of Preston, Jimmy Johansen of Preston, Katie Parmer and her husband Jeff of Preston, brother Bob Johansen and wife Ronnie of Pasadena, sister Pat Touchard and husband John of Greensboro, grandchildren Katie Barnett and her husband Martin, Catherine Fuchs, Chase Fuchs, Andrea Johansen, Garrett Johansen, Corryn Johansen, Gunner Johansen, Jamie Johansen, Jacob Parmer, Joey Parmer and Jeffrey Parmer, great-grandchildren Alice, Cain, Peyton, Aiden, and Barrett. He is also survived by his former wife Cathy Johansen McAllen whom he maintained an amicable relationship with and enjoyed sharing the holidays and family gatherings with, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother David Johansen.

Visitations will be held Saturday, July 28, 5-8pm, Sunday, July 29, 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 11am, Monday, July 30 at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home followed by interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
