John G. Ray

John Gordon Ray was born in Severn, MD on June 27, 1933 to the late Willis A. Ray, Sr. and Ethel N. (Nunn) Ray. A lifetime resident of Severn, Mr. Ray graduated from Arundel High School. After graduation he served for 8 years in the Air Force. He was a sheet metal worker for Baltimore City School Board. John was a member of Severn United Methodist Church. In his free time his enjoyed gardening, traveling and he was a season ticket holder to the Bowie Baysocks.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ray is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Jean (Refo) Ray, his brother, Willis Alvin Ray, Jr. and sister, Jessie Brawley. Those left to cherish his memory are his brother William Ray, Sr. of Gainesville, VA and nephew William Ray, Jr. of Laurel, MD. Mr. John Ray passed away peacefully at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on May 14, 2018.
