John E. Stumpf, III was born March 25, 1948 in Baltimore, MD to John E. Stumpf, Jr. and his wife Eleanor Mae Stumpf (nee Harris). A lifetime resident of Glen Burnie, John was retired as a civilian employee with the Maryland State Police where he worked as a commercial truck Inspector. He also worked as a firefighter with the BWI Fire Dept. A member of American Legion Post #276, the Glen Burnie Volunteer Fire Dept. and he worked as a docent for the B&O Train Museum in Baltimore. John was a member of the class of 1966 at Glen Burnie High School. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring antique cars and fire trucks, the Ravens, annual trips to Disneyworld with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 34 Years Barbara L. Stumpf (nee Drenning), his children Tori B. Hagedorn and her husband Bill and John E. "Jes" Stumpf, IV and his wife Nicole both of Glen Burnie. John is also survived by 5 adoring grandsons, Billy and Brady Hagedorn, Hugh, Colton and John E. Stumpf, V.
