John E. Stumpf Jr.

On October 23, 2011, John E. Stumpf Jr., a lifelong resident of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully at the age of 86. Beloved husband for 54 years to the late Eleanor M. (Harris) Stumpf; Devoted father of John E. Stumpf 3rd and his wife Barbara of Glen Burnie; Caring brother of Mildred Trapp of Glen Burnie; Cherished grandfather of Tori B. Hagedorn and her husband Bill and John (Jes) Stumpf IV and his wife Nicole; Adoring great-grandfather of Billy and Brady Hagedorn, Johnny V and Hugh and Colton Stumpf. John worked as a carpenter for the railroad and retired from CSX in 1987. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. John belonged to the American Legion #276, AARP, GBIA and was a life member of the GBVFD. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, trips to Disney World and going on vacation. Most especially, he enjoyed spending time with his family, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
