Johnnie L. Anderson

Johnnie L. Anderson was born on August 24, 1946 in Alexandria, LA to Gracie Anderson and the late John Anderson. Johnnie passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 11, 2017. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and retired from the Department of Defense after 30 years as an electronics instructor.  Johnnie enjoyed filling his free time with woodworking projects and traveling.

He is survived by his wife Katherine Smith, son Glen Anderson of Pueblo, CO, step-children, Trisha Monaco of Brighton, CO, Lonnie Monaco of Nebraska, Fredda Powell of Aurora, CO, Fred Powell of Denver, CO, brothers Clint, Foster, David, Pookie and Carl Anderson, sisters Shirley Davis, Faye Lavilarv, Lulu Anderson and Brenda Subuler. Johnnie was preceded in death by his brother Mickey Anderson.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Lecompte, Louisiana.
