Joseph M. Berner

Born August 22, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to Joseph M. Berner, Sr. and Louise M. (McClelland) Berner. He moved from Baltimore to Glen Burnie with his wife Sonia A. (Kotofski) in 1968. He worked as a supervisor in several different fields, retiring from the State of Maryland Prison System. Mr. Berner was a Viet Nam War Era Veteran serving with the Army from 1961-1964. An active member of American Legion Post #40, he also belonged to the Glen Burnie Moose, Raven's Roost #94 and the Anne Arundel County Pool League. In his spare time he enjoyed Playing Pool, Fishing, Horseshoes, Boating, he was an avid Raven's Fan who enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a fan of Jeff Gordon.  He passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughters Stacie L. Betz of Pasadena, Nicole D. Berner, a sister Kathleen Wilkinson and loving grandchildren Lexi S. Betz and Lil  Joe Berner.
