Joseph Richard Mcneel

Joseph Richard McNeel, 81, died on September 28, 2010 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center.  He was a 52 year resident of Linthicum, MD.  Joseph was born on January 8, 1929 in Altoona, PA. He worked over 20 years for Westinghouse as a Manufacturing Supervisor before retiring in 1989.  Mr. McNeel served in the Navy during WWII.  Joseph was a member of the Valley Presbyterian Church, was active with Gideons International, an elder at the church and taught Sunday School for many years.  Joseph volunteered with Youth for Christ and ran the Men's Christian Fellowship for Valley Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed working in his yard, was a very social person and had a great sense of humor.  Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Jane McNeel of Linthicum; loving daughter, Cindy Jacoby and husband Donald of Linthicum; and grandchild, Joshua R. Jacoby.  He was predeceased by his parents, Katherine (nee Bertenet) and Joseph McNeel.
